Il primo nato, nel 1991, è stato quello per Giovani Musicisti e Attori, che nei primi anni si è chiamato solo Stage per Giovani Musicisti. Le prime edizioni si sono svolte a Saltino presso Vallombrosa in Toscana con un gruppo di pochi bambini sotto la guida di Marco Papeschi e Monica Petrelli, che ne sono gli ideatori. Gradualmente lo stage ha coinvolto anche gli attori, diventando uno stage di teatro musicale, come è adesso. I ragazzi che lo frequentano hanno dai sette ai quattordici anni. Col tempo gli iscritti sono aumentati…i docenti pure… i bambini sono cresciuti e sono diventati preziosi collaboratori… insomma adesso lo Stage è diventato una realtà importante, atteso ogni anno da molti giovani. Lo Stage non è, infatti, solo un’esperienza formativa musicale e artistica, ma prima di tutto un momento di crescita umana per ogni ragazzo che si trova a vivere da solo con i compagni un periodo molto intenso, teso alla preparazione di un progetto che accomuna tutti e in cui tutti, docenti, ragazzi e collaboratori riversano entusiasmo e passione.
E’ per questo che si è creata la necessità di organizzare un nuovo Stage: “Guardare la Musica” dedicato ai ragazzi che per sopraggiunti limiti di età non potevano più prendere parte allo Stage per Giovani Musicisti e Attori. “Guardare la musica” è dedicato in particolare ai musicisti e ai cantanti, ai ragazzi dell’orchestra, che durante i dieci giorni di soggiorno preparano la colonna sonora di un film che viene creato per l’occasione su una storia ogni anno diversa. Di guardare la musica si sono svolte cinque edizioni, due a Verona e tre a Moena.
Lo Stage “Guardare la musica” si è evoluto a sua volta, in un format ormai richiestissimo dai giovani, che si ispira al teatro musicale; nasce nel 2010 “Recitar cantando”, che è diventato uno Stage di teatro musicale dedicato ai ragazzi più grandi rispetto a quelli che frequentano lo Stage per Giovani Musicisti e Attori. Sono giovani, infatti, dai dodici ai diciassette anni. “Recitar Cantando” nasce, inoltre, per esplorare il mondo della tradizione più pura, antica, con particolare riferimento alle minoranze linguistiche.
